Burns' television career began in 1995 when she played Peg as a character on the Spanish American sitcom Out of the Blue. Burns was part of the Baywatch cast in 1998. She then starred on Baywatch: Hawaii's second Baywatch: Hawaii version until her pregnancy forced her to leave the series.
